Terms & Conditions of Service

1. Call-Out Fee

A $100 call-out fee applies to all jobs within 20km of Pakenham.

Jobs located outside 20km of Pakenham will have the call-out fee and pricing discussed and agreed upon at the time of booking.

2. Emergency & Urgent Works

Emergency or urgent plumbing services are charged at emergency rates and are subject to a minimum charge to the nearest three (3) hours, regardless of the actual time spent on site.

This minimum charge accounts for:

• Priority attendance
• Travel time
• Disruption to scheduled works
• Emergency availability and rapid response

By requesting emergency or urgent services, the client acknowledges and accepts this minimum charge.

3. Pricing & Acceptance

All prices are provided in good faith based on the information available at the time. Engaging our services, including verbal acceptance or requesting attendance, constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

4. Variations & Additional Works

If additional work is required beyond the initially discussed scope, this will be communicated to the client where reasonably possible and charged accordingly.

5. Payment Terms

Payment is due upon completion of works, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Unpaid invoices may incur additional recovery costs.

6. Time on Site

Time charged includes (where applicable):

• Travel to and from site
• Diagnosis and testing
• Installation and commissioning
• Clean-up and compliance checks

7. Cancellations

Cancellations made after attendance or once travel has commenced may still incur the applicable call-out and minimum charges.

8. Access & Delays

• The customer must provide clear and safe access to the work area.
• Delays caused by restricted access, unsafe conditions, or third parties may result in additional charges.

9. Compliance & Standards

• All materials supplied remain the property of ZB Plumbing until paid in full.
• All works are carried out in accordance with relevant Australian Standards and plumbing regulations.
• Pressure Limiting Valves (PLVs) may be installed where water pressure exceeds compliant limits to protect plumbing fixtures.

10. Warranty & Guarantees

• We provide warranty on our workmanship as required by Australian Consumer Law.
• Manufacturer warranties apply to parts and equipment supplied.
• Warranty does not cover damage from misuse, normal wear, or third-party interference.
• Warranty claims must be reported promptly.

11. Refunds & Disputes

• We do not guarantee refunds for completed works.
• Any goodwill refunds offered are made without admission of liability and are final.
• Disputes must be raised within 7 days of invoice issue.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• ZB Plumbing is not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
• Liability is limited to the value of the works performed.

13. Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

14. Privacy

Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). We may use your information to provide services, process payments and communicate about your service needs.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted on our website. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any changes.
